![]() ![]() That being said, it's fair to say that certain side-quests and item grab portions could be frustrating if the player wasn't given the option to avoid them. From our end though, this was intentional, as we wanted to provide an experience that balanced the chaos of battle with something more upbeat and personal. I think in terms of pacing I can totally agree, it is a departure from the mech gameplay portions. Lots of folks reported to us having really enjoyed the intermission portions of the game. ![]() Originally posted by aphex_guy:Ultimately I feel it comes down to personal taste. A more dynamic game flow in the line of games such as X-Wing or Tie Fighter had probably worked a lot better, but what's done is done. I don't know whether it's unfair or not to speak in this way, but I feel it's better for them to do it so. The slow and tiring pace in the uninteresting so-called "Intermissions", that accomplish too much time at least, now they can be skipped, but that's just a mock for what really happened: it didn't work. is the failure related to the single player campaign. This game is unique, there's no other game out there like this. the feeling of being piloting your powerful grinder in a very interesting way from the point of simulation. One are the grinders: the combats, the weapons, the severed limbs. It was not.Īnd that's the two sides of the same coin you must settle for. I didn't liked that not even a single bit. to the point of speaking for you and responding to the questions that NPCs ask to you. And on top of it, at least for me: the AI, BLUE, pretending to steal the show and having too much protagonism in the game. In fact, some days ago an option to skip all this so-called "Intermissions" had to be added to the game. You'll be inside a spaceship, hearing a loooots of conversations with the other NPCs (very slow conversations many times), doing uninteresting stuff/favors to the other NPCs and, in general, getting bored a lot. The problem is: what about the other 55% of the time?. 45% of the time you'll be acomplishing missions, piloting your powerful grinder, fighting another enemy grinders, escorting a convoy. The main issue is how it has been planned. However, the single player campaign (or at least, at it's current state) has been dissapointing. The answer is sad: if you are looking this game only for single player you probably will be dissapointed.Įveryone is glad about having a single player campaign, a movement that was as totally unexpected as desired by everyone. ![]()
